Ownership and Management
Two
members out of three of the operational management of Fine organics
(Pty) Ltd, are from the previously disadvantaged category, and own
83% of the issued share capital.
The company has been inspected and
approved as a SMME (number 11001379) company by ESKOM who carried
out a thorough investigation of our plant, documentation and quality
assurance and site inspection.
The company has been accredited as
a "Black owned service provider’" by the South African
Mining Preferential Procurement Forum (SAMPPF)

Nutver's initiation into the world
of credit and finance began at an import and export company H K
Gokal. Further credit and finance experience was gained at MIC Kaplan
Shipping and Forwarding and Grovener car hire and touring company.
He joined Castrol SA (Pty) Limited in 1987 in the credit division,
moving through the finance division, while qualifying as a Chartered
Secretary.
Finally heading the Financial division
of Castrol Africa (Pty) Limited, as well as the export division
of Castrol SA. Nutver's responsibility included market and business
development, within Africa. The past four years Nutver has been
involved in turn-a-rounds, within two divisions of a JSE listed
concern.
His extensive experience covers various industries and businesses,
where his expertise of developing both strategic and marketing plans
for a number of ventures, has been critical to their subsequent
success.

Thabo Lukhele CIS - Financial Director
Thabo started in the administration department of Cementation Mining
in 1984. He rose to become the Contract Administrator in the Mining
division of cementation and gained his Chartered Secretary certification
(CIS) in 1996.
He was appointed as the Divisional Accountant of the then Cementation
Chemicals and together with his co-managers was a part of the team
that negotiated a Management Buy Out (MBO) of the company that was
renamed Fine Organic Chemicals. Thabo is married with three children
Alan
Stein BSc, NHD - Operations Director
Following his graduation Alan started a career spanning more than
35 years in technical management and analytical work with raw materials
and finished products, in industries as diverse as steel, pharmaceuticals
batteries and abrasives.
He obtained a National higher Diploma in Analytical Chemistry in
1985, and was certified in Concrete Technology and Construction
Techniques by the City and Guilds of London in 1992. He joined the
forerunner of Fine Organics Chemicals in 1989 as chemist, progressing
up the ranks to join the management team that purchased the company
from Cementation in 2000.
Alan is so highly regarded in the cleaning chemicals industry that
he is a member of the SABS Committee for Cleaning Chemicals.
